The Giver Again

One of the high schools nearby put on Lowis Lowry’s The Giver as a play. Andrew, Mom, Dad, and I went to see it. It was really good. For those of you who’ve read The Giver, I recomend seeing it as a play if a drama club near you ever puts it on. If you haven’t read the book, the play might be a little…shocking. It surprised my mom and dad, who hadn’t read it. Guess I forgot to mention the whole “Release” thing…oops.

About Emily

I'm Mrs. Kim's daughter, a sophomore in high school right now. I love to read and write. I enjoy working on computers and cars (did you know that an air bubble in your hydraulic brakes can ruin your braking completely? - until a mechanic bleeds it out, anyway). I also love dogs and horses.

      • I complete uastrdennd what you mean. Now that I give so much to others, people often ask me why I am so kind even when others aren’t kind to me. It can be hard, but if you walk in and through love the task becomes easier. It’s interesting that you father had such an influence on you. Before my grandfather past, one of his last words to me was to “be sweet and kind”. They are words I try to always live up to and one of the greatest ways to do that is by giving to others.
