The Pregnancy Project

I recently read The Pregnancy Project, a book about a girl who faked her own pregnancy as her senior project. Gaby Rodriguez is the girl who’s story this is, and Jenna Glatzer ghostwrote it.

The story is amazing. The facts about the background and events and everything are very frank, even the possibly embarrassing or painful ones. I loved the book, and I think it really makes people face their own stereotypes, their own prejudices, not just about teen pregnancy, but about life in general and the people we share our lives with whether we want to or not. The Pregnancy Project is a must-read for just about everyone, especially anyone who’s ever known or encountered teen pregnancy or similar stereotypes.

About Emily

I'm Mrs. Kim's daughter, a sophomore in high school right now. I love to read and write. I enjoy working on computers and cars (did you know that an air bubble in your hydraulic brakes can ruin your braking completely? - until a mechanic bleeds it out, anyway). I also love dogs and horses.

  1. I read this book AFTER I did IVF. IVF gave me my daughter. Now that I am in my late 30 s I know I don’t have a ton of time left to cceonive. I bought this book to try and get my body ready for when it’s time to try again. The IVF was like $12,000! We don’t have money to do it again. Anyway, the book is pretty worth it. Like the other poster said it talks about chinese medicine a lot and going organic. It’s 250 pages long. I’m starting slowly and trying to not pressure myself. Wish me luck!

    • I’m sorry, I think you are thinking of a different book. This is a book about a teenager that fakes a pregnancy to show how badly people treat girls that get pregnant. Good luck with your pregnancy.
