My trip to New Hampshire was a blessing to me. I hope it was a blessing to my family there as well.
One of the funnest things about this trip was that I got the chance to spend my sister’s birthday with her. The first one EVER! I’m sorry to say that she had to plan the evening because I don’t know any of her friends or any of the places around where they live and I didn’t have a car while I was there.
She chose to have several of her work friends meet us (Kate, Matt and me) at this neat Japanese restaurant. I’ve never been to one before and have not so secretly wanted to. They are pretty expensive around here though so we just haven’t even gone.
It was fantastic! The guy did some really awesome tricks while he cooked our food. Her friends were pretty entertaining too! We had a really great time. Mostly though, it was really special for me because I had never gotten to be there for one of her birthdays before. I hope that we get to celebrate many more together.
I am reminded just how blessed I am to have such a loving sister that wants to be a big part of my life and wants me to be a big part of hers. And so I say, “Happy Birthday, Kate!”
