Do You Reflect?

It’s Friday again and boy am I glad!

Anyway, time for Five-Minute Friday.  That’s where LisaJo gives us a prompt to write about.  We write…just write for five whole minutes.  No editing, no spell check.  just our words from our hearts.  Check out more of the entries!  There are always some really interesting ones.  It’s at thegypsymama.com.

Today’s word is REFLECTION:

Go:

Reflection…..

Reflection of myself is constantly taking place.  Each and every day I reflect on who I am…who I used to be…who I want to become.

I honestly think we have to continue to reflect on ourselves or we won’t progress.  No reflection means we aren’t looking at ourselves to see where we might need improvement.  It gives me a chance to see where I need to tweek myself.  Like the other day I was talking to a friend and relized that it had been weeks since I had sat down to READ my Bible.  Sure I looked stuff up.  Grabbed it to double check something but I haven’t really sat down and quietly read just to be IN His word.

Stop.

Shoot!  I hate when I really start to think about something and then times up.  Well, you might like to read some of my past posts from Five-Minute Friday’s.  Let me knkow in the comments what you think.  I would love your feed back!  🙂

  1. Oh my! I love this but you scared me because I just linked up late and the word prompt was “expectation”. So I was expecting you to write about that, but now that you gave me a heart attack- and I have recovered- I realize it is OK. I hope you don’t mind me telling you. HOWEVER, the word reflect is a wonderful word to ponder and reflect about. I do agree, I just get going and BAM time is up! So sometimes I add a couple of thoughts separate from the writing to round things out and have closure. I can be quite a rambler (does it show) so timing is a great exercise in self-control. Have a wonderful weekend, and nice to meet you!

    • Shoot! Did I read that wrong! Good grief it’s been a long say. 🙂 I guess that’s why I usually do this first thing in the morning. lol Thanks for stopping by. I hope you liked the site even if I can’t follow directions.

  2. Okay, now I wish the word had been reflection! Because I love your post and it made me think about so many things related to reflection. I think you’re absolutely right – self-reflection is so important. Thank you for sharing (I think you should suggest this topic to Lisa Jo for a future prompt :)). I enjoyed reading your post! Smiles –

  3. Aloha,
I’m glad I caught your 5 minutes of writing. I love the idea and love most the taking of just five minutes to be in your thoughts, in your space, in your words. I’m following ya now from the hop and would love it if you’d join the little collection of friends who are linking up at localsugarhawaii.com today. It’s wordless wednesday and we’re just enjoying being in each other’s presence, sharing a cup of something warm and yummy and a ton of light. I’d love to have you be part of the mix.

    xo,
    Nicole
