How I saved $1000 dollars

I LOVE remodeling!  My husband and I try to work on updates on our house whenever we have the time and a little extra money, which is scarce these days.  We were working on our upstairs bathroom (The press-board cabinets were coming apart.) when I found the perfect vanity for the downstairs hall 1/2 bath.  I was in love!  I knew exactly which new fixtures and faucet I wanted to go with it too.

But I’m cheap!  So…we decided to wait it out and buy the things I wanted as they went on sale.

While I was patiently waiting for a sale, I would stand in the doorway of that bathroom and imagine what it was going to look like once we had it finished.  It was going to be beautiful!

One day I decided to paint the cabinet.  I mean, what the heck, I was going to replace it soon anyway so I might as well have a little fun with it, right?  So I did! I love it!!!  I love it so much that we are keeping it.

This is what my bathroom redo cost me:

half of a pint of white wall and trim paint that I already had from painting the hall.

a paint brush I had left over from a previous project a left-over

sheet of sandpaper

Half of a can on black spray paint (left over)

I spent no money on the project and check it out for yourself!  My program wouldn’t let me use some of the pictures but I think you can see how much better it looks now.
